MTN NG Rolledout 4G LTE in July

MTN launched 4G LTE in Nigeria this July and i doubt if much people know about it.

It sounds shocking right but I can tell you that Ntel might be in trouble with this shocker news.

MTN Nigeria is finally set to roll out its Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution (4G LTE) broadband services this July 2016 in some selected cities, using the 800MHz frequency acquired from Visafone Ltd earlier this year. MTN plans to have about 1,500 LTE collocated sites back-hauled with fibre optics this year.

According to MTN executive officer, Mr Ferdinand Moolman “the motive behind the acquisition of Visafone is to have access to the frequency which would allow it roll out LTE. He also mentioned that the migration process of users to the visafonenetwork has started in other to be able to clean up the frequency and start rolling out LTE.”

I’m pretty sure the first 3 cities to test MTN 4G LTE network when the roll out begins is crystal clear to everyone … And i guess d acquisition was not a waste, enjoying this over here though because competition will now between these network providers will be higher than before.

You can liken this situation to that of Barry Allen SPEED in “The Flash”, which practically express the meaning of 4G LTE speed. Those that are still using defected and relegated 3G Mobile enabled smartphone should go on a minute silence to mourn there devices because you may not taste 4G LTE until you have a 4G LTE enabled device.
